Why recovery is part of the programming

Most people in Santa Clara are fitting training between a commute, a full workday, and everything else. Under that kind of schedule, soreness and stiffness are what stop people from showing up three or four times a week — not a lack of motivation.

Fifteen minutes with a percussion gun on a tight quad, or half an hour of heat after a heavy session, is the cheapest consistency you can buy. That is why the tools sit on the gym floor rather than at a separate clinic across town.

Recovery questions

Do I have to be a member to use the recovery equipment?

Recovery tools are included at no extra cost with the $299/month Unlimited membership. On any other plan, ask us about adding a session — rates are listed on this page.

When should I use recovery tools?

Percussion therapy and the TENS unit work well straight after a hard session or on a rest day when something feels tight. Most athletes use the infrared sauna on lighter days, giving muscles heat and blood flow without adding training stress.

How long does a recovery session take?

Fifteen minutes with the massage gun, thirty minutes in the infrared sauna, or a single TENS session. Athletes usually stack one onto the end of a class rather than making a separate trip.
